Dealophant, a price-per-unit Amazon shopping engine.
Dealophant is a unit-price search engine for everyday Amazon products. It helps shoppers compare the true per-unit cost across product variants and sizes, pulling live data from the Amazon Product Advertising API, with a 50-page SEO landing network and a Stripe-subscribed B2B brand marketplace built on top.

Why I built it
Dealophant exists to help shoppers compare the true per-unit cost across Amazon product variants and sizes, not just the sticker price, pulling live data from the Amazon Product Advertising API rather than a cached snapshot. The B2B marketplace on top lets brands buy sponsored placement on the category pages shoppers already land on, priced per product per month rather than as a flat listing fee.
[Why I built Dealophant specifically, in my words]
What it does
- A 50-page SEO landing network, one per product category, each with JSON-LD FAQ schema.
- A two-tier unit parser: regex first, a Gemini AI fallback for what regex cannot cleanly parse, for accurate price per ounce or per count.
- A 1,694-brand Levanta integration for deal-badge cross-referencing.
- A Stripe-subscribed B2B brand marketplace, sponsored placement priced $2.50 to $6.50 per product per month.
- A referral-partner system that swaps Amazon tracking IDs dynamically per traffic source.
Stack and architecture
Node.js and Express with TypeScript on the backend, Drizzle ORM over PostgreSQL for data. The frontend is React and Vite with TypeScript, Tailwind CSS and shadcn/ui. Billing runs on Stripe; live pricing and deal data come from the Amazon Product Advertising API, the Amazon Creators API, and Levanta.
